Terrible customer service, they get your order wrong 70% of the time. Food is mid and overpriced.

Terrible customer service. There was some miscommunication about the menu that probably got taken the wrong way. I decided to ultimately place a simple order: stack of 3 pancakes. The cook burned all 3 of my pancakes as if he had taken the misunderstanding personally. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!

Im a Native New Yorker, and to handle this deli, you gotta be brusk, on point, know what you want, get in and get out.
This place is a quick stop for breakfast or lunch. Bacon/Egg/Cheese on a roll with a coffee or a Sub/Sandwich simple with whatever you want on it. Just be ready to go when you talk with the guys.
I got a Chicken Cutlet Sub, Peppers, Lettuce, Tomato, Thousand Island Dressing. The guys flipped it really quick and I grabbed myself a Snapple.
The sandwich was solid, nice size, good cutlet, and the peppers brought it to life. Real fresh. Also, as an added bonus, they give you a bag of chips to go with it.
12 bucks after tax, pull up a chair and look out the window and people watch, or take it to go. These guys answer to competent people and don't have time to give recommendations/chit chat.
People on here giving 1 or 2 stars because of...the espresso machine?? Yo, if you want some fancy drink, go to a coffee shop, this is a deli, they got Folgers Drip coffee, and thats all you should expect. Get outta here with that.
This is New York, after all. Move it or Lose it. Great spot!! Loved it.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Will S.Lorton, VA22029May 28, 2021
Plethora of food options. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel on everything and it was really good. I thought the staff was nice and it was reasonably priced.

This deli turns out some mean food.
Last I was here, I scored a fried chicken cutlet on yellow rice as a late lunch. It didn't cost much, there was plenty to go around, and it hit the spot. Next time I'll pick up ketchup, though hunger flavored my dish quite nicely. (Thanks to the friendly counter staff for indulging my tourist moment as I snapped away with a camera.)
I'll be back for their huge stuffed tomato, or whatever that was - it came recommended by many regulars.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Carina F.Greenwich, CT1913Oct 11, 2018
Horrible !!
I ordered a salad from them through door dash today and the quality of food was just bad. On top of the bad quality food they didn't give me what I ordered and when I called to ask them about it they gave me an bs excuse.
I do not recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joshua M.Bronx, NY54179198Aug 15, 2012Updated review
I like it here... It's a small, cozy spot, and the food just hits the spot every time. The guys working there are cool too. I remember one time in particular, I didn't have enough cash for my meal (I was short $0.60), and the guy manning the cash register let me go without a problem. I thought that was really cool of him to do. Stop on by one day if you haven't already and give it a try. Thank goodness they are right across the street from my school :)
PLEASE NOTE: There's an $8 credit/debit card minimumHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Jul 7, 2012Previous reviewI've been here only a couple of times, the guys here are nice... They take their time making your food, but other than the more than average wait time, no complaints on the quality of service here...

Egg, potato and cheese sandwich on yummy soft roll for breakfast, YES please!
One of my favorite things about NYC is the delis. I miss them so much. Living in Florida for years and then Vegas, it's one of the things I really look forward to when coming back home.
I love the smell of a deli, the feel of a deli. It's all so, get in get out quickly. No exception here! My order was freshly made and in my hands in less than 4 minutes!
Service fine, price excellent (only $3 and change for our sandwich) and food was delicious! I would have liked the potatoes to be a little more grilled, but the taste was great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shawn W.White Plains, NY21177927Aug 4, 2016
Good for a breakfast sandwich, anything more and you will be disappointed. The chefs cooking food on the flat top are really rude and give you dirty looks while you order. What's up with that? You're doing a job, taking the order and cooking it. If you don't want to be doing that get a different job but don't scowl at customers.

No frills! Cash only or steep card minimum. Prices seem to rise arbitrarily. Too often out of bagels by 11am (odd). No decaf. But they have a monopoly on bagels in the area, so I'm a regular. Though it doesn't earn me any pleasantries!
