The gold medal-winning ice dancer and Dancing with the Stars alum proposed to ice dancer Tanith Belbin, an Olympic medalist herself, and posted the news of the engagement to his Instagram account Tuesday. “Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life! Hashtag she said yes!!!” he captioned the photo. Belbin has said she doesn’t mind when people assume White and his dance partner Meryl Davis are a couple – indeed, many of the commenters on White’s Instagram account lamented the fact that he and Davis aren’t the ones who got engaged. “She gets it,” White told PEOPLE of Belbin in March. “She won the silver medal in 2006 with her partner Ben Agosto, and people were always like, ‘Are you guys dating?’ It’s just something you get as dancers.
