Manchester United star Victor Lindelof has hinted at a potential departure this summer.

The Sweden international was speaking to the press while away with his country as they were thrashed 3-0 by Belgium on Friday night.

Lindelof played the full 90 minutes - something he has managed just four times in the Premier League this season.

And the centre-back has admitted that his time at Old Trafford might be coming to an end in the summer.

"Of course, like every player, you want to play every game and obviously I haven't done that this season," he said.

"But like I always say when I come here [to play for Sweden], it's a pleasure to be here and I'm always happy to represent my country.

"I'm really looking forward to the games that we have and I spoke to Janne [Andersson, Sweden manager] before to say that I was really looking forward to coming here and to perform, and to be on the pitch with the guys again.

"Like I said, I want to play, that's why I play football. I want to play games, but I haven't thought about that [potential transfer].

"Right now I'm just focusing on the national team and then of course, the rest of the season with the club.

"Then in the summer we'll re-evaluate and see what is best."

The signing of Lisandro Martinez saw Lindelof drop out of the side while Harry Maguire has also seen his first-team appearances drop.

Raphael Varane has been the preferred partner with Martinez and it has proved a winning formula with United winning the Carabao Cup already this season.

They also have high hopes of lifting the FA Cup and the Europa League in what is shaping up as a very fine debut campaign from Ten Hag in the managerial dugout.

Lindelof has made 21 appearances for the Red Devils across the campaign so far but has largely been left on the bench this season - or not even in the squad.

The 28-year-old joined United in 2017 from Benfica when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
