World Cup 2018: Uruguay include Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani in 23-man squad to Russia

Uruguay have included Barcelona striker Luis Suarez and Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani in their 2018 FIFA World Cup squad.

However, there is no room for former Southampton man Gaston Ramirez – who has missed out completely.

Another former Liverpool star joins Suarez on the list, with Sebastian Coates selected for his commanding presence at the back.

Midfielders: Giorgian De Arrascaeta (Cruzeiro), Rodrigo Bentancur (Juventus), Diego Laxalt (Genoa), Nahitan Nandez (Boca Juniors), Cristian Rodriguez (Penarol), Carlos Sanchez (Monterrey), Lucas Torreira (Sampdoria), Matias Vecino (Inter), Jonathan Urretaviscaya (Monterrey)
