Sky Sports claim the fee is £9.5m and will see the 26-year-old arrive to potentially replace Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is currently in negotiations with Fulham.

The deal for Muto is subject to him securing a work permit, which is not expected to be an issue.

Last season at Mainz, the striker netted ten times in 30 matches, also recording five assists.

Muto had earlier posted a cryptic picture of him boarding his flight on Instagram.
