Victor Moses goes missing after Nigeria duty

In addition to several of his Chelsea team-mates, Victor Moses is likely to miss Chelsea first match of the season against Hull, though for a different reason. His manager doesn't even know where he is!

Jose Mourinho has a growing list of absentees and serious doubts for his first match back in charge at Chelsea, including several potential starters, such as David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta, Juan Mata, John Mikel Obi, and a few others. The latest name to join the ranks of the unavailable is Victor Moses. He may not have been very high on the list of available players to begin with, but after failing to report on Friday, he's officially out of the Hull match. The Nigeria international played for his country in their 2-0 win against South Africa this week.

As reported in the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle, Victor Moses missed the deadline to check in with the club following international duty. There are some rumours that he may have missed a plane or had it delayed, but with few, if any, solid reports on just where the heck Moses is right now. Even Jose doesn't know, saying:

"Luiz is injured and he couldn’t play for Brazil so he’s out. Moses, I don’t know where he is," Mourinho said.

"I don’t select him from Sunday. Probably I don’t select Azpilicueta because he is the same. He went from the States to Ecuador to be on the bench and then back to London.

"The only injury is David. The others will be an option and I have to assess Mata as he trained with the group for the first time. Let’s see how he feels."

So, if you're out there, reading this, can you let us know where you are, Victor? I'm sure you're chilling in an awesome hotel waiting for another flight, or you're at home or something. I just hope you haven't gone AWOL, or are jaded and want out or something. That would be awfully-annoying, man.

To paraphrase Michael Jackson, "Victor are you okay? Are you okay Victor?"
