Story Synopsis:

In the fantasy world of Glyn a darkness is spreading across the land. An eleven year-old girl, Ja-Day, begins a journey to find the only one who can save her world, a human boy. Along the way Ja-Day encounters mystical dragons, vicious sea creatures, raging rivers and most dangerous of all - the big cities of earth.

Writing Sample:

THE DRAGONS ATTACK!

The dragon hovers, its great wings beat steadily as it stares menacingly at the three whom have invaded its nest. Alex notes with dread the dragon's dark green scales. They are face to face with the most dangerous dragon of all. Powerful jaws, fiery breath and razor sharp talons, each just as lethal as the next. But the dragon keeps its distance. `Why doesn't it attack?'

"What's it doing?" Alex can barely emit a hoarse whisper.

"Maybe it's as scared of us as we are of it."

Alex looks at Jamie dumbfounded, he couldn't have really just said that.
Suddenly Alex's question has a real answer. What is it doing? It was waiting for backup. From behind Ja-Day and the boys another dragon rises up from below the cliff face. They're trapped. The female has joined its mate in protection of their nest.

Dragons, the royalty of the sky. Those whom bare witness feel compelled to bow there heads, whether through reverence or fear, it is said to be the only chance to survive an encounter. Ja-Day knows these legends well. "Unna silk will tollah." As a sign of ultimate respect she prostrates herself at the feet of Distan the male dragon. "Will tollah."

Distan beats the air as it considers Ja-Day's act of appeasement. Suddenly the male dragon speaks, "Will tollah, silka krill." He lifts his head into the air and breathes a terrifying inferno of fire.

Brendan and Damian Jones are brothers from Australia and TANDARA was their first novel. They have also written the supernatural horror SOUL ASYLUM and the family aimed doggy tale FUN WITH SEBASTIAN.

Living in Australia I still find it amazing that my books with one click of a button can be read by someone in the U.S., or U.K., I've even had books downloaded in Japan and Germany. The world is becoming a smaller, and cooler, place every day.

I normally write with my brother, sometimes with my dad, but each time I try to give the reader the most entertainment I can. Whether that's with the horror of 'Soul Asylum', my personal favorite book, or the fun comedy of my latest 'The Blonde Bombshell', my goal is to have the reader turning the pages with anticipation for what happens next.

Please feel free after reading one of my books to write a review. Good, bad, indifferent, they're all welcome. I cherish my 1 star review for 'Fun With Sebastian' as much as my 4 star review for 'Tandara : The Three Sisters', reader reaction is a great way for a writer to learn and approve.

Reads more like a movie script proposal than a novel, perhaps drop the constructed language as it lends weight to the script argument. But should do better with the younger readers not so much the "Lord of the Rings" reader.
