The rumors are really picking up steam.

The rumors of an agreement between Antoine Griezmann and FC Barcelona for next season are getting even more intense. We saw a report from French outlet Le10Sport earlier this week, and now, two Catalan journalists have reported talks are even more advanced.

Mundo Deportivo sometimes gets criticism for stories that have transfers that never comes to fruition. But one pattern emerges from the stories they file: the ones that do not have a byline seem less reliable, and the ones that do have a byline... well, it depends on the author.

This particular one comes from Fernando Polo and Gabriel Sans, and Polo in particular has gotten a reputation among some of being very reliable when it comes to transfer rumors.

It tells us that Griezmann's release clause will be 100 million euro beginning July 2018, which makes his price tag fairly attractive given the market. The player wants to make the next leap in his career, and playing alongside Lionel Messi would be a dream for anyone. And, they say, the agreement between the player and the club, which could last for five seasons, is very close.

The good thing is there is a release clause, and if Barcelona meet it and the player agrees the move, there is no haggling or other drama necessary. Griezmann becomes a Barça player.

Again, this is just a rumor and it does come from Mundo Deportivo. But it’s been reported elsewhere and it’s coming from Fernando Polo specifically at MD. I would say this is looking serious.

The idea remains for Griezmann, Messi, Ousmane Dembélé, and Luis Suárez to all be in the squad next season. Wow, that team would be stacked upfront. Would Suárez drop to the bench?

Would you want Griezmann on the team? What kind of formation would Barcelona play?
