Neymar can leave PSG for €222m in the summer

The Neymar back to Barcelona rumor reared its ugly head earlier this week and it’s rapidly gaining pace in Spain.

According to Cadena Ser, Barcelona believe Paris Saint-Germain will allow the Brazilian to depart in the summer but only if they get what they paid for him.

If no club is willing to cough up the €222m then Neymar will stay. However, he will then be allowed to leave in 2020 for less than €200m.

Barcelona players happy for Neymar to return

Over at RAC1 the word is that president Josep Maria Bartomeu has spoken to key figures in the dressing room to see what they think about Neymar coming back.

Mundo Deportivo reckon that he would be welcomed back to the Camp Nou. He retains a good relationship with the players and his quality is undeniable.

In fact if it were up to the players then there would no problem in Neymar coming back.

Messi and Pique want Pogba at Barcelona

Another rumor that is simply refusing to go away is that of Paul Pogba swapping Manchester United for Barcelona.

The Daily Mail (so, you know) reckon that Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi would be happy to have Pogba at the club. So would French team-mates Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele.

Ernesto Valverde is also said to be in favour, although the club’s scouts apparently doubt whether Pogba is the right fit for the midfield.

Firmino to replace Suarez?

Another tenuous rumor doing the rounds is that of Barcelona plotting a move for Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino.

El Chiringuito reckon the Spanish champions consider the Brazilian as the perfect replacement for Luis Suarez.

Apparently Philippe Coutinho is a big fan of this plan, the same can not be said of Liverpool.

Juventus fancy Alba on a free

And finally today we end with news from Italy where Tuttosport are reporting that Juventus are casting admiring glances at Jordi Alba.

The Italian champions are hoping he does not sign a new contract at Barcelona so that they can pick him up on a free transfer in 2020.

They’re also looking at Christian Eriksen and Christian Pulisic who will also be free agents in 2020 if they do not extend.
