The Costa Rican goalkeeper joins Bayern after a standout World Cup.

We've seen Robert Lewandowski, Sebastian Rode, and Juan Bernat officially join Bayern Munich, and it now looks that the Bavarians are close to their next signing. This is one that has been rumored for a couple of weeks now.

Tomás Pérez, the vice president of Levante, confirmed to Teletica Deportes that Keylor Navas will be joining Bayern Munich.

"He's going to one of the best teams in Europe and beyond and will surely enjoy playing there. He'll have tough competition in Neuer. I'm happy for him, because I think he deserves this as a person and a player. He's earned it. He had a phenomenal year."

Teletica reports that Bayern will pay his €10 million buyout fee, and that €2 million of that will go to Navas as part of his contract with Levante.

The Costa Rican is coming out of an outstanding World Cup, where he and his country were the surprise team of the tournament making it all the way to the quarterfinals before bowing out on penalties to the Netherlands. While he won't beat out Manuel Neuer for the number one position, I believe that Navas is a superior goalkeeper to Tom Starke. It will be interesting to see what will become of Starke, or if Bayern plan on keeping all three goalkeepers on the roster.
