Joe Hart Retires, a Manchester City and England Legend
Goalkeeper Joe Hart, former Manchester City and England player currently with Celtic Glasgow, announced that he will retire from football at the end of the current season.
Goalkeeper Joe Hart, 36, played over 250 matches for Manchester City between 2006 and 2018, in addition to earning 75 caps for England. Throughout his career, he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups, two Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish League Cups, and one Scottish Cup. He also received four Premier League Golden Glove awards, tying with Petr Cech for the most in history.
Hart began his career at Shrewsbury Town in 2003 before moving to Manchester City in 2006. During his time at City, he had loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool, Birmingham City, Torino, and West Ham United. After leaving the 'Sky Blues,' he spent two seasons at Burnley, had a brief stint at Tottenham Hotspur, and then joined Celtic, where he has been a regular starter for the past three years.
With England, he was a regular in the squad between 2008 and 2017 and featured in the Euro 2012, the 2014 World Cup, Euro 2016, and the 2018 World Cup.
