With Natalia Grace Season 3 deemed likely, here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the first two chapters – The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and Natalia Speaks – including streaming details and if they’re on Netflix.

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and its follow-up, Natalia Speaks, were two of the biggest documentary series of the past year, centering on a stranger-than-fiction case, one that continues to unfold in real time.

In the latest chapter, Natalia was finally able to confront her former adoptive father, Michael Barnett, while extensive DNA testing concluded that she was telling the truth about her age. But another curveball arrived right at the end of Natalia Speaks, throwing her relationship with new adoptive parents, Antwon and Cynthia Mans, into disarray.

Following the shock ending, Investigation Discovery hinted that “Natalia’s story will continue” – meaning there could be a Season 3 on the horizon. So you’re up to date with the case, here’s how to stream both The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and Natalia Speaks.

How to watch the Natalia Grace documentaries

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and Natalia Speaks, both of which have six episodes, are available to stream in their entirety on Max and/or Discovery Plus.

For Amazon users, it’s possible to get the Discovery Plus add-on through your Prime account and stream both docu-series this way.

Those in the UK can stream the Natalia Grace documentaries on Discovery Plus, including via the Amazon Prime add-on.

Are the Natalia Grace documentaries on Netflix?

No, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace and Natalia Speaks aren’t available on Netflix at the time of writing.

It’s unlikely that they’ll be on Netflix anytime soon as they’re exclusively available on Max and Discovery Plus right now, but we’ll keep this space updated if this changes.

What are the Natalia Grace documentaries about?

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace centers on the conflicting accounts of what happened to Natalia, an orphan from the Ukraine who was passed from home-to-home before landing with Michael and Kristine Barnett in 2010.

What followed was a source of much contention; while Michael previously claimed Natalia was older than she said and that she tried to hurt his wife and biological sons, Natalia accuses Kristine of physical and psychological abuse.

The Barnetts had Natalia’s legal age changed from eight to 22 before moving her to an apartment on her own, one that was inaccessible and not modified for her condition – a rare bone disorder called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia.

In Natalia Speaks, she is able to share her side of the story, while extensive DNA testing proves that she was, in fact, a child when she was made to live alone.

As per the synopsis for the follow-up docu-series: “Picking up where the shocking finale of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace left off, Natalia Speaks dives headfirst into the questions, controversies, and secrets unearthed in the first installment, but this time, Natalia shares her side of the story.

“The six-part docuseries will also showcase an extensive, emotional sit down between Natalia and adoptive father Michael Barnett as they sit face-to-face for the first time and come to terms with the accusations that have been thrown around in both directions.”
