Move to England interests Sven Bender

Sven Bender has not ruled out playing in Premier League one day, but will stay at Borussia Dortmund for now.

Bender, 25, endured a difficult campaign last season. Several injuries limited the holding midfielder to only 26 appearances for the Bundesliga runners-up, and also forced him out of the Germany World Cup squad.

Bender played his final match of the season against Hamburg in late February, with a groin injury ending his season early.

When Jurgen Klopp gathers his players for preseason on June 5, Bender will return to full training and fight for his place in Dortmund's midfield.

"I know my skills, and others are also aware of them. When I am fit, I also want to play," Bender told kicker.

The midfielder, just like his twin brother, Bayer Leverkusen's Lars, has been linked with a switch to the Premier League, with the English media reporting that Arsenal have been courting the Dortmund man.

"Nobody has contacted me yet," Bender, who is under contract at Dortmund until 2017, added. "What can I say about those rumours? Only rumours are reported in England."

But Bender reiterated that he could see himself play Premier League football at one stage in his career.

He said: "I really like English football. Outside of the Bundesliga, it would fit my style of play best. Should I ever consider a move, the Premier League would be the only league coming into my thinking."
