AC Milan 'to meet Joel Campbell's agent'

The Rossoneri sent two directors to scout the Costa Rica international during the 5-1 victory over Benfica in London on Saturday.

Campbell was on target and impressed Arsene Wenger, who said: “I like Campbell, he is good on the ball, creative. There have been no offers for him and there is no reason to go. I want to keep him.”

Nonetheless, Sky Sport Italia continue to maintain Milan are pushing to get Campbell on loan where he can play regularly.

They report club representatives will meet with Campbell’s entourage today in order to see if he is interested.

Wenger was pretty adamant that Campbell will not be allowed to leave but although he scored against Benfica, he did look ragged at times. What would be better for his development: the odd substitute appearance and a Carling Cup run at Arsenal, or a good season of football in Serie A? A loan move to Milan could be the best way forward.
