Liverpool's Glen Johnson could join English compatriot Ashley Cole at Roma, according to reports.

Liverpool's Glen Johnson could join English compatriot Ashley Cole at Roma, according to reports.

The Mail on Sunday claims that Johnson, who has fallen out of favour at Anfield, is wanted as a replacement for the injury-prone right-back Maicon.

Johnson's contract expires at the end of the season, though Roma are considering a bid to sign the former England international for a minimal fee in January.
