The defending champions made a shock exit at the World Cup in Russia when a 2-0 defeat to South Korea saw them get knocked out in the group stages for the first time in their history.
But the German FA have confirmed the 58-year-old will continue in his role despite the side finishing fourth in Group F, also behind Sweden and Mexico.
They announced that Low, who has a contract until 2022, will 'rebuild' the team as he continues his 12-year tenure.
Under his stewardship, the team finished runners-up at Euro 2008 and claimed the third place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa before their triumph in Brazil in 2014.
