The 36-year-old was left unconscious for several minutes after an accidental collision with the knee of teammate Bruno Uvini in the 75th minute of Al Nassr's 2-0 loss to Al Ahli.

Jones had raced off his line to block Djaniny's opportunity, which was squared for Omar Al Somah to score to make it 1-0.

The match was then halted for almost 10 minutes as Al Nassr's medical staff tended to the Australian goalkeeper who initially lay motionless.

Jones was eventually taken from the field on a stretcher after he regained consciousness and then immediately rushed out of the stadium in an ambulance.

He was officially substituted in the 85th minute, having sustained the knock 10 minutes earlier.

Al Nassr confirmed the Socceroo was taken to hospital and has remained there since his arrival. FTBL understands he will be released tomorrow but will be unavailable to play for six weeks.

That would rule him out of this month's Socceroos friendlies against Lebanon and Kuwait which will be crucial preparation for the 2019 Asian Cup in UAE.
