Inter to renew interest in Athletico Paranaense’s Bento

The powers that be at Inter Milan remain keen on the services of highly-regarded goalkeeper Bento.

That’s according to FCInter1908, who have today provided a fresh insight into the Nerazzurri’s long-standing interest in the Brazilian.

The Nerazzurri held discussions with their counterparts at Athletico Paranaense regarding a deal for Bento during the summer, but ultimately opted to bring in the pairing of Yann Sommer and Emil Audero instead.

This, however, does not mean that they do not still view the 24-year-old as a potential signing for the future.

In fact, amongst the higher-ups at San Siro, Bento is widely considered to be the long-term replacement for Andre Onana.

In turn, after agreeing personal terms with his entourage during the summer, Inter are soon expected to launch a fresh assault for the shot-stopper’s signature.

An offer worth a sum in the region of €15 million would likely be enough to coax Athletico into a sale, with Piero Ausilio and co. confident that they have already done enough to secure a ‘right of first refusal’.
