Goal's Asian Player of the Week - Japan's Genki Haraguchi

One of Japan's best performance in the 2018 World Cup came against Belgium in the Round of 16 where they gave the Belgians an almighty scare before going down 3-2.

The star of the show for the Asian nation was Genki Haraguchi, who was deployed on the wings.

Haraguchi offered much to Japan's attacking threat with his dynamism and passing range.

His shooting accuracy also was exemplary in the game and it was demonstrated through Japan's first goal. After a fast counter-attack, the 27-year-old player was suddenly in sight of goal and fired a shot along the ground, which Thibaut Courtois could not reach.

Ultimately, he helped Japan gave a big scare to strong Belgium and is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!

Congrats!
