The Madrid-based side crashed out at the last-16 stage after a brace from Isaac Romero and a Sergio Ramos strike sealed a 3-1 victory for the Andalusian outfit. While Ramos opened the scoring, it was his defending that was naturally lauded by Sevilla after full time in a direct jibe at United loanee Greenwood.

The rather surprising post aimed directly at Greenwood hints at how he has been a divisive figure since his controversial move to Spain. The 23-year-old was met <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/getafe-issue-statement-demanding-respect-players-and-staff-wake-of-mason-greenwood-die-chants/blta7767fecd251862b" target="_blank">with "die" chants from Osasuna fans</a> during his full debut with Getafe, while he was recently sent off for dissent before seeing his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-getafe-manchester-united-la-liga-red-card/blt701504196c57bff7" target="_blank">red card rescinded</a> after La Liga backtracked. On the pitch, though, the one-cap England international continues to perform, with nine goal contributions in 18 matches to his name so far this term.
