The Colombia National Team faces Bolivia on the penultimate date of the 2022 Qatar World Cup Qualifiers. Since the World Cup Qualifiers in Korea and Japan in 2002, the two teams have met eleven times, of which the Colombian National Team has won seven times, they have drawn three times and Bolivia has won on a single occasion, in the 2006 Qualifiers against Germany when at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz, it won 4-0 with goals by Julio Baldivieso and a treble by Joaquín Botero.

In the last 20 years they have met on three more occasions, twice for Copa America and once in a friendly. The first match at the South American contest was held on July 10, 2004 and ended in a triumph for the Tricolor with a goal by Edison Perea. On July 10 they met in Argentina and La Selección Colombia won with a double by Radamel Falcao García. The friendly match took place on August 12, 2010 in La Paz and ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Carlos Bacca and Roberto Galindo.
