Luis Muriel scores, assists and figures for Atalanta in the victory over Venezia in Serie A

Luis Fernando Muriel was the most decisive player in Atalanta's 3-1 victory over Venezia. The Colombian directly participated in all three goals of his team, so he won the praise of the fans of the 'negriazul' who traveled to Venice to witness his team's 15th win this season of Serie A.

The first goal of the match was in the 44th minute of the first half. There Luis Muriel showed his skill with the ball in the opponent's area. When he tried to assist one of his teammates, the pass bounced off the loot of a defender, the ball rose dislocating the goalkeeper, but hitting the crossbar; the rebound remained for Mario Pasalic who in total solitude scored 1-0.

Then came his fifth assist in the Serie A season, after receiving a ball that was recovered by Remo Freuler. The Colombian overflowed on the left wing, leaving his rival on the floor, to assist his compatriot Duván Zapata to score 2-0 in the 47th minute and the first in 2022 for the striker.

His work would be rewarded with his team's third goal, in the 63rd minute, which ended the match in favor of the Bergamo team. Deportivo Cali's youth player commanded a new counterattack from his team: he opened the field with Zappacosta, who waited for Muriel to settle in so that, on the head, he shot close to the goalkeeper's right hand stick and celebrate his eleventh finish of the season, the sixth in Serie A.

The goal of the discount for Venezia would be given at 80 minutes at the feet of Slovenian striker Domen Crnigoj, who came from the bench of substitutes.
