The 22-year-old, who arrived at Anfield on a season-long loan at the start of this month, opened his goalscoring account in the 36th minute.
The Nigerian international seized upon a loose pass from Jonjo Shelvey, rushed towards goal and dragged a shot low past Michel Vorm to make it 2-1 to Liverpool.
