Los Catrachos were one of the first teams to reveal their final 23-man list for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Honduras coach, Luis Fernando Suarez, announced the final squad to leave for Brazil. His decisions were not easy and the manager stated:

“I ask the ones who have not been called up to understand. A lot of players were part of this process, but only 23 can be called. I cannot keep everybody satisfied.”

Of the 23 players, 6 are based in the English Premier League. Amongst the most renowned players are Hull City’s defender Maynor Figueroa and Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios.

Making a name for himself is young goalkeeper Luis Lopez, who plays for Real Espana. With regards to the goalie, Suarez said:

“Luis has enormous potential and soon will replace Noel Valladares.”
