The U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) has learned its fate in the upcoming 2024 Copa America after the official draw held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.

Placed in Group C, the USMNT will battle formidable opponents - Uruguay, Panama, and Bolivia - in their quest for glory.

The prestigious tournament is set to captivate fans from June 20 to July 14, featuring matches across 14 venues in 13 cities across the United States.

United States face tough challenge in home soil

U.S. Head Coach Gregg Berhalter acknowledges the challenges that lie ahead, stating, "It's a tough group. Copa America is a very difficult tournament. For us, we're excited to finally know our competitors. Now, it's about planning our game plans and getting ready to compete."

The tournament, hosted jointly by Concacaf and CONMEBOL, presents a unique collaboration outside of South America, following the success of the 2016 Copa America Centenario held in the United States.

The USMNT, a top seed alongside Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico, secured a spot avoiding South America's giants but faces the challenge of Uruguay from Pot 2.

The opening match against Bolivia on June 23 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas marks the beginning of a crucial campaign.

"In a way, we're controlling our own destiny by putting them last,"Berhalter said regarding the Uruguay match.

"If you take care of business in the first two games, which will be difficult, you set up a winner-takes-all meeting."

Group C poses a balanced mix of challenges.

While Panama has historically upset the U.S. in various competitions, Bolivia, despite being considered one of South America's weaker teams, brings a competitive spirit honed against powerhouses like Argentina and Brazil.

The U.S. has a rich history in Copa America, with notable performances, including a stunning 3-0 victory against Argentina in 1995.

However, the tournament's guest teams face an uphill battle, with the USA and Mexico being the only non-South American teams to reach the knockout rounds since 2011.

As the USMNT prepares for Copa America 2024, the journey promises excitement, testing the team's mettle against top-tier opposition.

Fans eagerly await the kick-off, hoping for a triumphant performance by the red, white, and blue.

USMNT's schedule for 2024 Copa America:

June 23 vs Bolivia at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas

June 27 vs Panama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia

July 1 vs Uruguay at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri
