In a game that was essentially a final to decide top spot in UEFA Nations League B Group 4, Serbia got the better of Norway, winning 2-0 to clinch the group.

All eyes were on Erling Haaland after his blistering start to the season with Manchester City.

He scored in Norway's defeat to Slovenia on Saturday, but he drew a blank against Serbia, whose own young star forward made the difference in the first half.

Serbia did well to release Filip Kostic down the left shortly before half time and his cutback was met emphatically by fellow Juventus man Dusan Vlahovic.

Less than 10 minutes into the second period, the Serbs appeared to have the game beyond doubt.

Another good example of ball movement saw Ivan Ilic releasing Aleksander Mitrovic, who finished strongly.

Haaland finally came to life late on, but Vanja Milinkovic-Savic had a strong hand to deny him.

Serbia take the three points and were good value for their win.

A rare goalless night for Haaland and Norway will be left frustrating by the way they threw away a great campaign in the final two games.
