Arsenal grabbed a 3-0 Premier League victory in the London derby against Fulham on Sunday to maintain their five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta fielded a strong starting line-up, with Leandro Trossard playing upfront alongside Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The good news for the Arsenal coach is that Gabriel Jesus came off the bench with 13 minutes to go to make his first appearance in 100 days.

He could have scored one of his own late in the game, but Bernd Leno denied him with the score already at 3-0.

The Gunners hit the ground running at the Craven Cottage and took the lead after an Antonee Robinson own goal 16 minutes in, but their opener was disallowed for offside in the build-up.

Arsenal pushed forward and finally broke the deadlock through Gabriel Magalhaes 22 minutes in, with the Brazilian becoming the top-scoring defender in the Premier League with three goals.

Failed Fulham reaction

Fulham tried to react, but Trossard recorded his second assist in the game to tee up Martinelli, who headed home in the 27th minute.

The Brazilian forward has scored 12 league goals so far this season. This means that only Erling Haaland (28), Harry Kane (20), Ivan Toney (15) and Marcus Rashford (14) have scored more goals in the Premier League.

Captain Martin Odegaard also got his name on the scoresheet just before the break to practically kill the game off for the visitors.

Arsenal remain top of the Premier League table with 66 points, while Fulham sit eighth with 39 points.
