Japan became the first of 32 nations to announce its 26-man squad

The excitement is finally getting palpable. 

With the calendar now flipped to November, it’s officially World Cup month, with the 2022 tournament set to kick off in Qatar on Nov. 20.

As the quadrennial tournament gets closer, all 32 teams have now announced their respective 26-man squads comprising forwards, midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers. 

Here’s a list of every nation’s official squad as they were released: 

Ecuador

La Tri announced their squad on Nov. 14, the last squad to do so ahead of the Nov. 15 deadline.

Manager: Gustavo Alfaro

Key players: Moises Caicedo (Brighton), José Cifuentes (LAFC), Piero Hincapié (Bayern Leverkusen), Enner Valencia (Fenerbahçe)

Group: A with Netherlands, Senegal and Qatar

Ghana

The Black Stars announced their squad on Nov. 14.

Manager: Otto Addo

Key players: Thomas Partey (Arsenal), Mohammed Kudus (Ajax), Iñaki Williams (Athletic Club), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City)

Group: H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea

Mexico

El Tri announced the 26-man squad on Nov. 14.

Manager: Tata Martino

Key players: Guillermo Ochoa (América), Hirving Lozano (Napoli), Andrés Guardado (Real Betis), Héctor Herrera (Houston Dynamo)

Group: C with Argentina, Poland and Saudi Arabia

Tunisia

Tunisia announced its squad on Nov. 14.

Group: D with France, Denmark and Australia

Iran

Iran announced its squad on Nov. 14.

Canada

Canada – making its second-ever World Cup appearance -- released its roster on No. 13.

South Korea

South Korea announced its squad on Nov. 12.

Argentina

One of the favorites in 2022, Argentina announced its squad on Nov. 11.

Spain

The Spaniards announced the 26-man team on Nov. 11.

Serbia

The Serbian squad announcement came on Nov. 11.

Saudi Arabia

The Green Falcons announced their squad on Nov. 11.

The hosts announced its first ever World Cup squad on Nov. 11.

The Dutch made their squad announcement on Nov. 11.

A potential darkhorse announced its 21-man squad on Nov. 7 and the full squad on Nov. 13.

Costa Rica announced its 26-man squad on Nov. 6. Los Ticos made a miraculous run in 2014 when it topped a Group D that featured England, Italy and Uruguay.
