Jesse James‘ ex-wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder, lost a request for expanded visitation rights with her 5-year-old daughter, Sunny, who has been raised by James and wife Sandra Bullock, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Lindemulder, 39, who currently has weekly day-time visitation rights to see her daughter, was reportedly denied her request for overnight stays (barring Christmas Eve) by Commisioner Thomas Shulte in an Orange County family court on Monday.
James, 40, and Bullock, 45, have been raising Sunny for thepast year while Lindemulder was in prison for tax evasion. The adult film actress served six months in jail and was released in July.
RadarOnline.com posted a court statement from James, who said that “good cause exists for the court to conduct a review to determine if [Sunny] will be safe with [Lindemulder]. She should be restrained from allowing the child around pornographers, drug addicts, guns and firearms, felons and other unsafe environments.”
Bullock has also spoken out to defend her intentions in raising Sunny, saying “I am aware that Janine has claimed many times that my desire to have [Sunny], was because I could not have children of my own [but] that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
“I know the term ‘stepmother’ carries many connotations, one of them being ‘glorified babysitter. My commitment and responsibility to [the girl] … goes beyond that.”
