Danny Vukovic is leaving Perth Glory effective immediately. The 28-year-old goalkeeper is departing from Western Australia on Monday, according to The World Game, and will join Graham Arnold on loan at J-League side Vegalta Sendai. OS Aussies broke the news:

Sendai lost its season opener to Albirex Niigata and are in need of a goalkeeper, though it is not yet known if Vukovic will immediately become the club's first choice. Vukovic previously played at Central Coast Mariners (though not while Arnold was the manager) and Wellington Phoenix before joining the Glory in 2011.

The deal with Sendai is for an initial five months with the club holding an option to buy at the conclusion of the loan. Perth will now be turn to 20-year-old Jack Duncan who has not yet appeared in a first team match this season and has only played in a single A-League game in his career. The Glory are currently in position to claim the wooden spoon after four consecutive losses and five out of six. They play in Wellington against the Phoenix on Sunday March 9.
