Getafe vs. Barcelona, 2014 Copa del Rey: Preview and TV schedule

It's going to take a comeback of epic proportions for Getafe to get by Barcelona into the quarterfinals

Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno

Let us be completely honest about Thursday's Copa del Rey Round of 16 second leg between Barcelona and Getafe. It's a formality.

Yes, comebacks happen. Yes, Getafe could overturn the 4-0 loss in the first leg last week. The New York Red Bulls could also be on the verge of signing Xavi. In other words, while anything is possible, Getafe isn't going to pull off the upset of the year.

Even with three regular starters left at home by Gerardo Martino, Barca have more than enough depth and talent to get a result and book their place in the quarterfinals.

The winner of this tie will face Levante in the next round...and that will be Barcelona.
