For all the Paul Pogba haters out there, Patrice Evra has two words:
RESPECT HIM.

Pogba has been excellent at the World Cup, but he entered the final with zero goals and zero assists. He’s excellent for Manchester United too, but that doesn’t stop fans from criticizing him for a lack of goals and assists. But he scored in the final, and Patrice Evra — a former France and Manchester United star — went nuts.
“Why are you always talking bullshit about my brother? Why do you always talk bullshit about him? Respect him! Oh my goodness, I can’t wait for him to come back to England with the trophy. I swear, I will do the same hair. Respect my brother! Respect him! Are you crazy or what! Respect! Oh my god, I’m dying.”
Here’s the goal, which Pogba set up just as much as he scored. Look at the pass he makes at the very start of the video to start the move.

The goal felt so satisfying for Pogba fans who have spent the last two years listening to haters who don’t understand the role that Jose Mourinho and Didier Deschamps ask him to play, and Evra’s response was the perfect encapsulation of how it felt to watch him score the winner in a World Cup final.
No matter what happens the rest of his career, you can’t take this away from Pogba. He was the man of the match in a World Cup final.
RESPECT HIM.
