Chicharito is back on the scoresheet for Real Madrid.

Mexico's Javier Hernandez scored his fourth goal in all competitions this season, tallying in Real Madrid's 4-1 win over third-tier Cornella in the opening leg of their Copa del Rey round-of-32 series on Wednesday.

Chicharito, who had missed a golden opportunity earlier in the match, upped the degree of difficulty for his goal. He stood up after going down in the Cornella box and won a loose ball amid a few defenders.

He then dribbled away from goal to create space for himself at the top of the box, took one touch to set himself up and then laced a low shot through the Cornella defense and past a diving goalkeeper to extend Real Madrid's lead to 3-1 in the 53rd minute.

Raphael Varane scored Madrid's first two goals, and Marcelo added the final tally, as the defending European champion coasted to the win in the road leg. Madrid, also the defending Copa del Rey champion, will host the second leg on Dec. 16. Cristiano Ronaldo, in the midst of an 11-game scoring streak, had the day off for the Blancos.
