The agreement is tied to a commercial deal, which is aimed to help the football industry in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Sahlawi, who plays for Al-Nassr, only has two matches remaining of his domestic campaign.

His last fixture in the Saudi Professional League will take place on April 12, which gives him a two month break before the competition in Russia.

He will use this time to train under the watchful eye of Mourinho at the Aon Training Complex.

Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the General Sports Authority, said: "It was agreed with Manchester United for Mohammed Al-Sahlawi to join the training programme for three weeks.
