Leicester transfer news: Foxes told to pay £20m for Gremio striker Luan as agent confirms talks with champions

Leicester continue to be linked with Ahmed Musa but Luan's agent Jair Peixoto confirms talks have been held

LEICESTER CITY have been told they must pay £20million for Brazilian striker Luan.
The player’s agent has confirmed he has been in talks with the Premier League champions over a move to the King Power Stadium.

Luan’s club Gremio would accept a £20m offer for the 23-year-old.
But agent Jair Peixoto says no agreement is in place yet but that the Brazil Under-23 international could qualify for a work permit as a ‘special player’.
Peixoto said: "There is no talk of priority. We will close with the first to arrive with what we demand.
“Luan could be registered as a ‘special player’ too, he fits it, and therefore he would not have any obstacle in case of an agreement.
“It was a conversation to show what we want as a business model, our ideas and what we plan to achieve.
“We didn’t set a deadline for the bid to be made. It could be tomorrow or in 10 days.”

Leicester are also finalising a deal for CSKA Moscow’s Nigeria striker Ahmed Musa.
Juventus are weighing up a move for midfielder N’Golo Kante - even though Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri wants to keep the Frenchman.
The Italian giants are waiting on confirmation of the £20million buy-out clause Kante’s contract before making a move.
Juve have been told Kante wants to respect the agreement he made with Leicester bosses last summer so they can get as big a fee as possible for him.
Real Madrid are also monitoring Kante’s situation along with Chelsea.
