World Cup 2018: England star Phil Jones loves his Panini sticker and reckons wife would be a fan as well
Manchester United star's sticker was a smash hit when it was released ahead of World Cup and Jones has given his approval
PHIL JONES reckons his bizarre official World Cup sticker is a “belter” and says his wife would love it.
Panini’s 2018 sticker of the England defender — which looks like a painting — became a hit on social media when it was first released.
The Manchester United defender laughed when SunSport showed him the image for the first time.
Grinning, although looking slightly puzzled, Jones, 26, said: “It’s good that! That’s a belter that is.”
Asked whether his wife may have sent the picture in, he added: “She definitely thinks I look like that…
“I’m surprised she’s not mentioned that. She’d usually have bantered me about that by now.
“I didn’t know it had been on Twitter. To be honest, I’ve not looked on Twitter in about four years.”
Jones is set to be on the bench for Monday’s opener against Tunisia.
And he gave a brutally honest review of his FA Cup final display when he was given major problems by Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
He added: “It was c**p. But that’s football.

“We’ve got some of them in our squad as well.
“When I look at the squad, the training that we’ve done and the games we’ve played, I see us doing well.”
