Limited opportunities
The Blucerchiati signed Michele Ferri from Cagliari Calcio yesterday for an undisclosed fee and have followed it up by bringing Da Costa to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old French-born Portuguese player joined Fiorentina from PSV Eindhoven last January for a fee reported to be around €4.5m but has appeared only once in Serie A this term for Cesare Prandelli's side. Samp take on FC Metalist Kharkiv in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 next month, while Fiorentina face AFC Ajax.
